Having some fun out here!
I’ve had a camera in my hand since I was a little boy. I remember my first camera was a 110 with a film cartridge. Super easy for a kid! I would take that camera everywhere with me and had tons of shots from the zoo and who knows what else.
My Dad was a photographer and he taught me a lot of what I know. I did go to school for photography and learned a lot about lighting and composition, but where I learned the most was from working with other awesome photographers and trying out different techniques that they use.
I’ve been shooting weddings for several years and love being able to spend the day with the happy couple. Of course my two most favorite things to photograph are the first look and the first dance. The whole day goes by and there are looks and love, but the first look and the first dance are the times when all of the raw emotions come out. Those are the moments!
I love being in the studio as well. Recently, I’ve added beauty photos to my portfolio. It is a ton of fun working with a model (usually a regular person) and helping them feel beautiful and empowered. It is great seeing their faces when they see how they look with the lighting and the posing!
